DACHSER connects Tunisia and Turkey directly to its groupage network

DACHSER recently put its first e-truck into regular operations on a long-distance route. A Volvo FH Electric with two swap bodies is on the road for DACHSER in the Czech Republic. Altogether, the truck and its trailers have a total weight of 44 metric tons and a range of around 300 kilometers when in service.DACHSER Ireland advances sustainable logistics with electric vehicle integration

Assuming a valuable role in mitigating climate change is both a central responsibility and a challenge for logistics providers. Transport and warehousing are energy-intensive and have a large carbon footprint; one reason is that zero-emission trucks are not yet available in sufficient numbers. But technological change is already in full swing. Michael Kriegel, Department Head DACHSER Chem Logistics, describes the potential that can be utilized and the role logistics can play in protecting the climate.
DACHSER and FERCAM strengthen groupage and contract logistics business in Italy
FERCAM is set to transfer its Distribution (groupage) and Logistics (contract logistics) divisions to a joint venture with DACHSER under the name “DACHSER & FERCAM Italia S.r.l.”. DACHSER’s 80 percent share in the new venture strengthens and rounds off its European network. The transfer of control is still subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities.
DACHSER announces twelve more zero-emission delivery areas in Europe
DACHSER is significantly expanding its emission-free delivery of non-chilled groupage shipments to defined downtown areas. By the end of 2025, the logistics provider plans to launch DACHSER Emission-Free Delivery in twelve more European cities: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Dublin, Hamburg, Cologne, London, Malaga, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Toulouse, Warsaw, and Vienna. In addition, the company will expand its existing zero-emission delivery area in Paris.
